Nigerian meal

The Nigerian breakfasts were not too appetizing. Cold, plasticky custard with stale white bread and fried plantain is difficult to swallow at any time, but this meal was served at 5am before a long day of filming. As the filmmakers didn't eat meat (by far the food of choice in Nigeria) they had to survive for the first week on peanutes, bananas and lemonade. They finally found chips & beans at the Siro Hotel in Warri which became the staple diet.
