Stupid kommt nach Deutschland

Date 21st May 2010

Just as we thought things might be dying down on the Stupid front, there's about to be a major release in German cinemas, complete with high profile premieres in Hamburg and Berlin, the launch of 10:10 Germany, and a new dubbed into German version of the film so that subtitle phobia can't keep anyone away.

They're planning post film events and discussions at cinema screenings around the country, from Bremen to Munich. As ever, the more people go to see it in the opening weekend, the more cinemas will pick up on it in the following weeks. So help us spread the word by telling all your friends/acquaintances/anyone you once met who might be in Germany.

ageofstupid.tao.de/ has all the information in German. And is worth a look at anyway just to see pretty much our whole website impressively replicated in German.

Lizzie and Franny will be at the Berlin and Hamburg premieres, joined by prominent politicians and environmentalists. The premieres will launch 10:10 Deutschland. So anyone coming out of the cinema asking 'warum tun wir nichts?' - the german tagline - can go right ahead and do something by joining the 10:10 Global campaign to cut carbon emissions by 10%, starting 2010. No need to wait of course, sign up as soon as you can. 10:10 Germany is over at: www.1010global.org/de
