Will Young resembles Clark Kent rather than Superman at world premiere of The Age of Stupid
Most people would rather resemble Superman with his superpowers than the mild-mannered Clark Kent.
However Will Young has opted to look like the shy reporter rather than his exciting alter ego who happens to fight injustice, defeat evil-doers and save the world on a regular basis.
The singer, 30, was sporting a pair of squared-shaped glasses and dyed jet-black hair for the world premiere of eco-movie The Age of Stupid.
Perhaps Young's rather bookish-look is down to a new acting role.
Since becoming the first winner of the TV talent show Pop Idol in 2002, Young has gone on to forge a successful acting career with parts in the film Mrs Henderson Presents with Judi Dench and on stage in Noel Coward's Vortex.
Gillian Anderson and singer KT Tunstall were among the other celebrities who turned up at London's Leicester Square for the screening of the ambitious animation starring Pete Postlethwaite as an activist in the devastated world of the future.
In keeping with the theme of the film, the premiere was held in a solar-powered tent and the stars arrived by solar car, bike or rickshaw, and the red carpet was replaced by a green one.
