Newcastle: TYNESIDE CINEMA
Read all about the world record beating People's Premiere here.
Normal film premieres are glitzy and exclusive, with nobody invited except VIPs - but the People's Premiere is different: VIPs, IPs and plain old Ps are all welcome to the world's first INclusive film launch. Featuring synchronised screenings at a staggering 60 different cinemas across the nation. With a solar-powered cinema tent pitched in London's Leicester Square, the People's Premiere is also the planet's first truly green film premiere - no greenwash allowed.

Judith SadlerJudith: I live in Newcastle and, having worked as a teacher and Adviser in Children’s Work, now manage the NE Unit of Christian Aid in Newcastle. From this office a small staff support local Organisers, speak at events, network with other development agencies and plan events. We also recruit and resource volunteers and engage in awareness raising, campaigning and fund-raising. Christian Aid exists to expose the scandal of poverty and to change the systems that cause poverty. We work in partnership with about 500 local organisations in about 60 countries, with people of all faiths and none. We are part of the climate campaign because of the adverse effect of a changing climate on the poorest people in the world. |
