China played host to the Global Premiere in the Box Cafe (Space for Imagination), Beijing, on the 22nd of September, 2009. The feedback was amazing. The film was also made available for free online in China.

We tried to get the film into cinemas but getting past the Chinese censorship board, forget it. We therefore offered the film for free online to all of China. This was geo-blocked so don't go thinking anyone could have watched it online. We also managed to get in a little box cafe check out the story below.

The screening in Box Cafe(Beijing) has just finished. 30+ people watched the whole screening. Some other audience came late. Some Chinese audience find there is no subtitle and they left.

2/3 of the audience are westerners, 1/3 of them are Chinese.

Now we are interested in booking a Chinese subtitled version on 24th October, as soon as this information is confirmed by the Age of Stupid, we'll looking for more and better venues and start promoting again.

On September 21st / 22nd, on the eve of the UN General Assembly's climate session, The Age of Stupid was launched internationally at the biggest and greenest live film event the world has ever seen. A-list celebrities walked the green carpet to an eco cinema tent in downtown New York, linked by satellite to 700 cinemas in 50+ countries. From October 5th anyone anywhere can buy a license to screen The Age of Stupid in their school/pub/church/multinational oil corporation.
