Normal film premieres are glitzy and exclusive, with nobody invited except VIPs - but the People's Premiere is different: VIPs, IPs and plain old Ps are all welcome to the world's first INclusive film launch. Featuring synchronised screenings at a staggering 60 different cinemas across the nation. With a solar-powered cinema tent pitched in London's Leicester Square, the People's Premiere is also the planet's first truly green film premiere - no greenwash allowed.

I've been campaigning on global poverty issues for some years, as part of TIDAL (Trade Justice and Debt Action Leeds) and the Stop Climate Chaos Leeds group. I now work for Christian Aid in Yorkshire and we've been highlighting how climate change is already having a devastating effect on the lives of the poorest people in the world - who've done least to cause it.

Jess Dolan and Sophie Allain

Jess has worked for Friends of the Earth for nearly 3 years, firstly as a Network Developer working directly with Friends of the Earth local group activists across the North East of England and Yorkshire, and more recently as Training and Development coordinator.  Prior to that Jess was working for Amnesty International in Scotland.

Sophie has been involved in the Camp for Climate Action for three and a half years. The Camp is a place for anyone who wants to take action on climate change; for anyone who’s fed up with empty government rhetoric and corporate spin; for anyone who’s worried that the small steps they’re taking aren’t enough to match the scale of the problem; and for anyone who’s worried about our future and wants to do something about it. Sophie is someone like that.
