Amazingly, supporters and communities stepped up in the final moments to make an Indie Global Premiere success story to remember, September 22nd.

There was a big event that was cancelled at the 10th hour because the classification did not go through at the Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB). Our contact decided to still go ahead with a private screening which would host the film's star Layefa who was already at the bus park waiting. The journey from her state to Lagos takes about 5hrs. It was the afternoon before the screening and there was no DVD because the original was held up at the Censor board. Reformex spoke with the Censors board to see if we could get a copy from them and was told that it was not possible.

We were able to do the private screening at the 11th hour. A DVD was FedExed there and Layefa was able to make it to the screening as well even though she came in late. She's back in school now.

On September 21st / 22nd, on the eve of the UN General Assembly's climate session, The Age of Stupid was launched internationally at the biggest and greenest live film event the world has ever seen. A-list celebrities walked the green carpet to an eco cinema tent in downtown New York, linked by satellite to 700 cinemas in 50+ countries. The Age of Stupid DVD double-disc extravaganza, in 31 languages and with more than six hours of Extras is now available to pre-order here. From October 5th anyone anywhere can buy a license to screen The Age of Stupid in their school/pub/church/multinational oil corporation.
